17th Century Character House set in the outstanding beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park on the foothills of the Black Mountains and close to Offa's Dyke Path. Just two miles to the famous secondhand book town of Hay-on-Wye and near Clyro where Kilvert the Diarist served as curate and described this beautiful region.
The Old Post Office has kept all it's charm and character. A winding oak staircase leads to en-suite bedrooms which have polished boards. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and Guests are free to come and go as they please. An excellent choice of vegetarian food served for breakfast.
The Old Post Office is simply a first-class conversion, which could hardly be bettered, though the only reminder of its days with the ROYAL MAIL is the Georgian post-box by the front door - rather eccentrically still emptied twice a day despite the change of use !
Rich Ochre walls, lovingly restored rural Welsh furniture, fabulous food - vegetarian of course - and wide-ranging views of Welsh mountain sheep grazing the Black Mountains.
